Welfare queens all over the news.

Perhaps now would be a good time to redefine what a welfare queen looks like. I say it looks like AIG and dresses like Bernie Madoff.

None of this money has trickled down my way... I'm sure it will, however, after all the bankers are done with their portion! Bwhahahhahahahahhahha

I was writing a comment, but it got too long and became a post.

It is amazing how the word "welfare" is reserved only for help given to the poor. There are fancier words like "bailouts" for the wealthy. Many can't see that welfare for the wealthy and for the poor both come out of the taxpayers' pockets--and I wonder who really gets the most. Of course, we have often heard about welfare going to those who don't work. Does anyone really believe that these AIG employees worked hard enough to earn bonuses in the millions?

Corporate welfare has always been there - it is just now the corporations have to beg for a handout. In the past, the handout was a given - a privilege, if you will.

Agreed--nothing new here--just large enough amounts of money to be noticed.
