While we spin our wheels fighting for nostalgia, Ken Hinton and consultants are laying the ground work for the future. How will Charter School Boards work with elected School Boards?
I have never heard of the MST Charter School Advisory Committee.
Via the grapevine, I just heard that Dr. Cynthia Fischer is in charge of the plans for the charter school on Moss Ave. Was that announced publicly and I missed it? Is this a consultant job paid for by District 150 or is someone else footing the bill for planning the charter school?
I am also confused as to how the two boards work together. I'm even more interested in the financial arrangement. If Fischer is heading this committee and if she is a 150 paid consultant, then 150 must bear the cost???
I've heard that the 150 board really will not have much to say about the charter school. I don't understand it much.
