There appears to be some sort of cease fire here in Peoria; or perhaps the PPD has discovered that racial profiling is the way to stop crime.
This is a good report to do at this time because it is dealing with the closing of schools and the strain it is on the children who have to get back and forth to school everyday. Sad.
37 min. into the report, it is clear, it takes a multi pronged effort. We need the police, schools, grassroots, media to work together to save our children.
At the last board meeting, I was astounded when Jeannie Williamson told Terry Knapp that the dispersed Woodruff students won't be on a bus more than 15 minutes to get to school. How out of touch is that information--coming from the person who planned the closing of Woodruff? The last I heard the strain won't be on just the students. I heard on the news that 150 is short about 25 bus drivers.
Anyone interesting in getting a crash course on setting up, operating a camera/tripod/mic system this week? I'm a very good and patient trainer. I'd like to cover the MLK Park Outreach event, but already have family plans for State Fair in Springfield...for my daugther's b-day...would love to get that on CAPtions. 999-3826 is my office number
