It was our usual Thursday night date night. We had a wonderful dinner up the hill at the Fish House and decided to drive down to Martini's for, well... martinis (Thirsty Thursdays).
Before going to Martini's we decide to take a stroll on the "boardwalk". As we approach, the stench greets us. As I get down by the Crab Shack, I am dry heaving it smells SOOOOOOOOO bad. And then suddenly I have no other option, I lean over and I hurl into the River. Not cute!
The boardwalk is disgusting. Not only are there nasty spots all over the ground, the River is a polluted, stinky, MESS! Ridiculous!

I was so disgusted, we skipped Thirsty Thursdays.
Its just run-off from the East Bluff after the rains.
Hopefully, they will clean it up before Steam Boat Days.
Wait until after a heavy rain and feces are floating about from our outdated sewer system which we all are going to have to pay for because we spent the money on the Pad, the Gateway Building, the Hotel, and God's gift to tourism, the Museum.
Maybe Spain will give you free passes to the museum, warehouse district and a free night in the hotel. should have tossed it on the 1/4 million steps leading to Heartland Partnerships.
The river is super low right now. All the detritus is concentrating. Some big rains would actually help.
