"I'm gonna wipe that smirk off his face come Nov.8th"

Randall said...

Anon: Is that Obama saying that? Because Obama will take out Mitt November the 6th which I think is election day. Not the 8th. But a rich man like Mitt won't be bitter, he'll simply fly to one of his vacation homes and wait for Fox News to give him a TV show.

"I knew letting Candy Crowley out of the binder was a bad idea."

I watched the video of the event in question. Obama mentions "terror" once, obliquely and at the end of the comments. The truth remains that the entire regime tried to pass off the "it was because of the video" idea for like a week before admitting the truth.

Romney was essentially correct.

And Crowley herself took Axelrod to task on CNN's "State of the Union" show on 9/30 for the same issue and admitted afterward that Romney was "right in the main but used the wrong word" regarding the debate.

Does anyone realize that Obama is a millionaire too???

"Why did I agree to these damn debates! Now everyone knows what an asshole I really am! "

I hate when someone makes me defend Obama. Yes Vonster, Obama is a millionaire. And 90% of his income came from book sales. Not old money, not honorary board positions.

That said, he sucks. So does old white guy. I'm staying home November 6th or 8th :)

When are people going to realize that it does not matter who will become president. Only 50% of people eligible vote and then 25 of those support dems and 25%you support gop. Congress is the PROBLEM!!!!!!

And that is where dictatorships are born...apathy

From the looks of it, thats the only sword Hilary has taken in a long while...

Emerge, you are really too intelligent to support Obama. Randall is another matter entirely.

I'll second that! If a woman ran for the presidency am I supposed to vote for her because I too, am a woman....really Emerge. Think about it. I never saw a picture of a president in a D150 school until Obama was elected. Now, his picture is hanging everywhere in every school. What's up with that?

Sharon Crews said...

You mean Woodrow Wilson doesn't have a picture of him hanging somewhere. I had a picture of all Presidents in my classroom at one time.
I am truly offended by the suggestion that anyone's intelligence can be measured by their political views--that's worse than measuring intelligence by NCLB test results.
Also, why do you assume Emerge voted for Obama because he is black? My guess is that most who voted for Obama have voted Democratic in most elections.
If you do not understand why black people would take a special joy in having a black President, then you do not understand the struggles of black people in this country. As one of my former students (now 60) wrote on a blog to his friends, "Now none of you have an excuse for saying you can't do whatever you set out to do." He meant, of course, that if Obama can be President, he doesn't want to hear any excuses any more.
At some point Republicans better get the message that they need to start being an inclusive party and find a way to appeal to more minorities--just changing these ugly attitudes would be a start. There are many Republican views with which I agree but the other views often convince me to vote Democratic.

Because golly gosh Sharon all the black people in the country that voted for Obama, voted for him because he was SO qualified.....not because he's black. Oops, did I say that outloud? Well, I guess I will be labeled a racist....funny, I'm black and republican.

Sharon Crews said...

I voted for Obama. And I am happy to hear from a black person who voted Republican. I want to see black people in both parties--that is my wish for this country. You have to admit you are in the minority--I do abhor generalities and you caught me in one.
As to the previous argument comparing a black person voting for Obama to a woman voting for a woman because she is a woman--speaking of intelligent arguments--there you have a really stupid argument--if not stupid, certainly one that shows a lack of understanding of racial struggles in this country--no comparison to the struggles of women. Have you no empathy--can't you possibly find a way to put yourself in someone else's skin? My students taught me how to do that--if I hadn't been a teacher, I probably wouldn't have learned that lesson. Nothing in my previous background would have made me racially away, so I shouldn't be so smug.

Did you forget that women were considered 2nd class citizens too. Have you not heard of the glass ceiling? Many "groups have had struggles, time to wake up, its 2012 get PAST IT SHARON

Sharon Crews said...

Did you forget that there are black women too--and that they had a double dose of unfairness. I am a woman, also--and I know for a fact that I have never suffered bigotry directed at me because I am a woman--and neither have you. Unfairness maybe (not I thought)--but bigotry, no. I have nothing to get past--I am just supporting those whom I know have suffered. By the way, don't you think that there are white people who would never vote for a black president=-I know more than I care to know? So why would you think that it's wrong if a black person votes for a president because he's black. One of my black friends said she just heard someone say that a white man belongs in the white house--that's very hard to hear.

I am a white male, registered as a democrat, but I only had two choices, I could not register as a independent. I voted for President Obama, not because he was black (actually half black/white), at the time I thought he was the best candidate. I love Sen. McCain, but I really felt he was to old and out of touch. I cannot put an Obama sign in my yard, because I know it would be destroyed. I cannot tell most of my friends that I voted for him and that I will vote for him again. I really feel that most people hate him because he is part black. They don't say it but I can feel what they really mean. Prejudice is alive and well. Trust me I am not a bleeding heart liberal. I am very conservative. If you don't think so drive through Marquette Heights and look at the dummy someone put in their front yard. They put a mask of President Obama on it. My wife and I slowed down to read the sign and someone came out of the house and glared at us with his fist bunched. Wow. One man I know said he would rather have a Mormon run the country then a N****** running the country. It scares me that he can vote. I know that Mr. Rommney has raided a lot of business's and put people out of work. That is a fact, his company is doing it as we speak up near Chicago, according to the news. Oh wait that is only lies from the liberal press right? I got into an argument a couple of days ago. Someone told me that Obama was evil. Actually said "I honestly believe he is the anti-christ". Seriously. I said he didn't start two wars (with no exit plans or anyway to finance them). Every time I see vets asking the public for money (no not pan handlers but organizations), I remember Bush/Cheney saying we had the best trained and equipt army ever. Oh except the humvee's, didn't have enough armor. Every time I see a wounded vet, I get sick to my stomach, why did we start a war in Iraq? Afganistan I get. Sorry for rambling, but I get really angry when people use lies and such, instead of the truth. This brings to mind to quotes, "never argue with an idiot, because the audience won"t know who is who", and always remember "if you can't beat a man fairly, you can always call him names".
