1470 radio website reports crime in the zone>
Just after Midnight Sunday a man told police he was robbed at gunpoint by five
suspects at the intersection of Nebraska and Maryland. News Partner News 25 reports no suspects have been
located in the case.

Funny Channel 31 television reports same incident as taking place one block east at Nebraska and Central.

Which one is correct?

If the latter is correct, perhaps our new Eye in the Sky Orwellian Crime Cam recently mounted on that intersection's telephone pole might pay some dividends.

Big Brother is watching you matriculate with an infrared telephoto lens, Glen Oak Impact Zone residents, so draw your curtains!

It was probally both intersections this is the East Bluff after all. I have seen a BIG increase in the LOUD children walking the hood. Most of which CUSS worse than a drunk sailor.

Consider this...

The Mayor pushing this Don't Shoot initiative at this time is pretty brave. Here's why:

He is willing to take a chance and put up a web site, showing clear graphics that indicate that crime has increased since he has been Mayor. He runs the risk that folks could take crime as a reason to not return him to office, but instead he is banking on the initiative making a difference.

Emerge.
Mayor Ardis was also willing to fully back Cease Fire, when Bill Spears decided to run against Aaron Schock in the statehouse election, to the tune of $50 grand of taxpayer money. The majority of the council has no intention of adequately funding the police force, so this is the side step until after the election. It also pushes for Brady, a Spaudling alumni, to remain state's attorney. It's politics at its worst with our tax dollars and for some their very lives being gambled.
